The CRC Dinos Sprints/Head of the Weasel is a highlight of our racing season and typically takes place on the last weekend of September. Hosted by the University of Calgary Rowing Club (UCRC) Dinos, this two day sanctioned event brings together clubs from across the province for an exciting weekend of competition and community.

How to Get Involved
There are several ways to take part in the CRC Dinos Sprints/Head of the Weasel, whether you are an athlete, volunteer, or supporter.
Compete
Athletes register for the regatta through their home club. CRC rowers will register directly with their coach, who will organize entries and race lineups.
Volunteer
The Alberta Open depends on the support of volunteers. Roles include launch driving, marshalling, timing, registration support, and general event assistance. Volunteer sign up details are shared in the weeks leading up to the regatta through our Club newsletter.
Support and Spectate
Friends, families, and community members are always welcome along the shoreline. Bring a chair, dress for the weather, and enjoy a weekend of racing on Glenmore Reservoir. Dated will be announced on our events page.
Join the Community
If you are new to the sport and want to be part of future regattas, our Learn to Row, Junior Program, Senior Program, Masters Program, and Para Programs offer pathways to get involved and eventually race with the Club.
