In 1966, the Calgary Rowing Club began as a small group of rowers, with borrowed equipment, in a wooden shed on the bank of the Glenmore Reservoir. 60 years later, we are the largest rowing club in Canada, producing top national athletes and building an inclusive community of rowing enthusiasts that embraces fun, fitness, and community spirit.
To celebrate our 60th Anniversary milestone, the Alumni association has planned two great events and we invite everyone to participate.
Saturday, August 15, 2026 – Gala Anniversary Event
- Starting at 6pm at Heritage Park, featuring cocktails, dinner, a silent auction, and a dance.

Sunday August 16, 2026 – 60th Reunion Sunday Row and Brunch
- 9am – 12pm, brunch at the boathouse to follow
- All are welcome – you can row or enjoy from the shore
