U23 Financial Needs Bursary Program

The Calgary Rowing Club is committed to ensuring that cost is never a barrier to
participation. Our U23 Financial Needs Bursary Program provides financial
assistance to young athletes who face genuine financial challenges, helping them stay
engaged in training, competition, and the CRC community.

The CRC will award up to $10,000, divided among eligible U23 athletes. These funds help offset
program fees, regatta costs, and other rowing related expenses so athletes can focus on
their development and performance.

To be eligible to apply you must be:
– Age 23 and Under
– Registered, or plan to register, with the CRC this season
– Strong commitment to training, attendance, leadership or volunteerism, and club
values
– Able to demonstrate financial need through self-declaration

The application process is confidential and includes the application form, a short
personal statement (or a declaration of financial need from parents of U18 athletes), a
summary of rowing experience and goals, and academic enrolment confirmation.

The Application form is available HERE

Applications open April 30th and close May 15th
Applications must be submitted to office@calgaryrowing.com by 11:59pm on May 15th 2026, to be
eligible for consideration.
